‘Our collective hard work is paying off,’ says Tam as new COVID-19 cases decline
Chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam says there were more than 254,000 people tested for COVID-19 across Canada in the past week – the highest number of tests in a single week since the pandemic began. She says despite the high level of testing, the total number of new cases continues to decline. She stressed that protecting older adults and other people who are at higher risk from COVID-19 remains a top priority.
