Indigenous Canadian artist Buffy Sainte-Marie opened the Toronto International Film Festival with a live performance of her song "Carry It On." The street concert marked the official opening of TIFF 2022 and also the festival's return after a two-year hiatus due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
