Glen Assoun acquitted of murder after serving 17 years in prison
The Nova Scotia Supreme Court has acquitted Glen Assoun of a murder for which he served almost 17 years in prison. The acquittal came Friday, after federal Justice Minister David Lametti ordered a new trial saying there was a reasonable basis to say Assoun had been wrongfully convicted.
