Newsroom Ready: Seismologist says 'valuable lessons' in wake of B.C. tsunami scare

Natural Resources Canada seismologist John Cassidy says the massive Russian quake that sent tsunami waves towards British Columbia on Tuesday was the same type of tremor experienced off Canada's West Coast. He says data from the quake will help inform the science of tsunami generation and future emergency responses in B.C. (July 30, 2025).
