Challenged on his refusal to condemn racism and police brutality in the United States earlier this week, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Thursday that while anti-racism is a Canadian value, his first duty is to Canada and Canadians' interests. That means working with racialized Canadians and trying to solve problems here, he said.
