Unifor's new president Lana Payne says that in supporting education workers in their fight against the Ontario government's use of the notwithstanding clause in bargaining, unions showed the government it had crossed a line. She also says workers are in for a rocky 2023, but that the tight labour market could help bolster bargaining strength and protect against recessionary layoffs.
