Weigh scale aims to assess health of endangered B.C. marmots
Researchers with Vancouver Island University and the Wilder Institute will deploy their latest remote weigh scale this summer aimed at assessing the health of the Island's critically endangered marmots to see if larger animals have more babies. The most recent version of the scale has technology that reads a chip implanted on the marmot to identify which animal is on the scale.
