Health Canada approves COVID-19 vaccine
Dr. Supriya Sharma, the chief medical adviser at Health Canada, said Wednesday the department has approved the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech, paving the way for vaccinations to begin countrywide next week. Maj.-Gen. Dany Fortin, who is leading the vaccine rollout's logistics, said the first doses will likely arrive in Canada on Monday or Tuesday and will be administered initially at 14 sites across Canada, with more facilities coming online soon.
