Poilievre promises $1 B to help build highway to Ring of Fire

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre visited a construction firm in Sudbury, Ont. just ahead of an expected election call, where he promised to spend $1 billion over three years to help Ontario build a road network to link potential mines in the Ring of Fire to Ontario highways. Poilievre is promising to approve all federal permits for developing the mineral potential in the region within six months. (March 19, 2025)
