Newsroom Ready: New Flames arena update
The new 900-million dollar arena for the NHL’s Calgary Flames is proceeding on time and on schedule even with the threat of US tariffs. The new building — to be named Scotia Place — is scheduled to open in the fall of 2027 and will replace the Saddledome, used by the Flames since it was built in 1983. (April 14, 2025)
