Heavy rains hit the northern Italian regions of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, pushing the main rivers in the regions above alert levels for floodings. In the central Tuscany region, schools remained closed in several cities on Friday, where the local administration also shut museums, cinemas and theaters.
