Newsroom Ready: Situations of Ukrainians fleeing from Russian troops and Afghans fleeing Taliban ‘very different’: Trudeau
After Afghan interpreters who have made it to Canada told a parliamentary committee that their family members fleeing the Taliban are not being given the same treatment as Ukrainians escaping from Russian troops, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the two situations are "very different." Trudeau made the comment in Edmonton during a budget promotion tour and after he explained Ottawa's plan to cut taxes for small businesses.
