Newsroom Ready: Sacred ceremonies to continue despite COVID-19: Miller

Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller says banning sacred ceremonies is a “dark stain” on Canada’s history and they can go on despite COVID-19 restrictions with First Nations leadership deciding how to proceed safely. Concerns that ceremonies would be pushed underground surfaced after the RCMP was dispatched to a Saskatchewan First Nation where people were holding a sun-dance ceremony last weekend.
