B.C. plans to clear surgery backlog in 15 months
Health Minister Adrian Dix says the B.C. government has come up with an ambitious plan to catch up on the surgical backlog in 15 months. He says the province has recruited more operating-room staff and increased the hours surgery is being performed, and the plan could be on track as long as there’s not a need to close beds due to a resurgence in COVID-19 cases.
