Vancouver poultry plant shuts over COVID-19 outbreak among staff
The United Poultry Company Ltd. in Vancouver has been closed after 28 of its employees tested positive for COVID-19. Vancouver Coastal Health officials attended the chicken processing plant on Monday and tested all 71 staff who were present. B.C. health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread from meat products or its packing.
