B.C. announces 40 new COVID-19 cases, one death
B.C. announced 40 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and one death. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says the province now has 271 COVID-19 cases and eight people have died. She says she can't stress strongly enough for people to practise social distancing to help break the spread of the virus. Henry says social distancing is necessary, but it shouldn't prevent people from stepping outside of their homes for fresh air or losing connections with loved ones and neighbours.
