Health Canada chief medical adviser Dr. Supriya Sharma says a rare blood clotting syndrome may be linked to the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine but the benefits still outweigh the risks. The news that the vaccine will remain authorized in Canada comes a day after the country reported its first case of a blood clot in a person who had received the vaccine.
