Newsroom Ready: NDP unveils universal pharmacare plan, aims program delivery by the end of 2020
NDP leader Jagmeet Singh unveils his party's national pharmacare plan, which would cost the federal government about $10 billion a year on top of what the provinces already pay. Singh says it's worth it, pointing to analysis by the parliamentary budget officer that estimates overall annual savings of $4.2 billion on the cost of drugs.
