Newsroom Ready: Canada Post union to stop delivering flyers as labour dispute stretches on
Jan Simpson, the president of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, says a ban on overtime work at the postal service will end on Sept. 15. Instead, postal workers will stop delivering commercial flyers as it seeks to keep pressure on the Crown corporation in the long-running contract negotiations. A Canada Post spokeswoman said the postal service was disappointed with the union's decision and that the gap between the two sides remains "substantial." (Sept. 12, 2025).
