Newsroom Ready: Conservatives plan to introduce bail reform bill this fall
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said his party will propose a bill in Parliament to make it harder for people accused of certain crimes to get bail. Speaking in Vaughan, Ont., he said the proposal will create a new category of major offences that will require a reverse onus. The Liberals have promised to introduce their own bail reform bill this fall. (Sept. 11, 2025)
