Volkswagen announces giant EV battery plant in Ontario
The CEO of Volkswagen's battery arm PowerCo Frank Blome says a new plant being built in St. Thomas, Ont. could eventually grow to be the automaker's biggest gigafactory in the world. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the bidding to nab the factory was fierce but it was the people of St. Thomas that made the difference to put the deal over the top.
